ABOUT the brand
Coming at ya from sweet home Alabama, I am a brand designer and educator serving creative entrepreneurs all over the U.S., Europe, and Canada (or wherever you are!). Most days you will find me at my desk surrounded by mood boards paired with a strong cappuccino (or two). I help people just like you grow their business and provide tools to take all kinds of brands to the next level.
My goal is to provide you with a brand that brings you clarity, confidence, and consistency. I want you to feel clear on who you are and what you brand represents, feel confident in sharing your brand with the world, and have the tools you need to keep your brand consistent through web, print, and social media for years to come. Sound good? Great!
Let’s grab some coffee, crank up the French Cafe playlist, and get started on the next big project for your brand!
When I daydream, I am sitting at a cafe in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower (checked this off the bucket list this year!). I am married to Josh, and have a yorkie, Josie Wells, and a cat, Blue Wells- Josh and I like puns. I love traveling. It doesn't matter if it's a short road trip or a jet-setting adventure, seeing new places is the ultimate inspiration. We live in Birmingham, AL- a rapidly growing city in the south that is home to some of the best restaurants and coffee shops in the US.
ABOUT my design style
My design style is minimal with an emphasis on typography. I love the way letterforms can puzzle-piece together, and how a typeface alone can say so much. I like to focus on hierarchy, and making sure the most important things are seen first. Consistency and clarity are very important to me. I want your entire brand to speak the same language from your logo - to your website - to your social media - and everything in between.
Let's talk about you for a sec! The Emily Wells Design client. You are just starting out, or you are looking for a refresh in your business. You are ready to elevate your brand and ready for the next level of growth. You've carefully considered investing in design, and you know it's the right next step because 1) you are over the DIY route and you are ready to bring in a professional 2) you know that ultimately an elevated brand will affect your bottom line.
You love simple but effective design. You are ready to get serious about your image and reach the clients you know are out there waiting for you. You are tired of hesitating when someone asks for your website address, or when you have to pull out an outdated business card. You are ready to give strong yes's to what lights you up, and kind no's to what is not your passion, and a brand that will reflect that.
